                                                                   RECONHECIMENTO DA IMO
(mensagem enviada por Rainer Arlt - Comissão Visual)

                                     Dear Alexandre,

Thank you very much for your reports on the Leonids. I am glad you could do
something despite the big show was not visible from Brazil. You reported
quite high cloud coverages. Let me ask whether the cloud coverage refers to
the entire sky or to the firls of view. The latter would be more suitable
for the analysis. Please let me know. I was able to watch the entire show
from southern Spain and logged 1300 meteor -- a marvellous display. Will
you continue with your efforts in meteor watching? The Geminids on Dec
13/14 are a nice chance to do more on meteors. I will be glad to hear from
                                     you again.

                                     With best wishes, Rainer
